ACCER was established
in 1970. The establishment of the college was the
outcome of the tireless efforts by Shri. Tatyasaheb
Veerkar and Shri. Nanasaheb Upasani. Being
visionaries, educationalists and hard core teachers
they realized the importance of starting the B.Ed
college which would impact quality training and
prepare excellent an committed teachers. Their view
was supported by ASM and the college was incepted
under the leadership of Shri. B.V. Bapat, the first
Principal of the institute. The college has
progressed in leaps and bounds due to tireless
efforts of the dedicated staff. Our past students have made us proud who
have occupied key posts in the education
field.
The Adarsha Shikshan
Mandali”, Pune registered under the Societies
Registration Act 2XI of 1860 No. 1269 of 1943-44
runs the ‘Adarsha Comprehensive College of Education
& Research.” The Institution is a grant in aid
institution & permanently affiliated to the
‘University of Pune” vide Maharashtra State Govt.
Letter No. UPF-253(75/1100-Twenty Five dt. 17th
June 1976.
